LOCAWEB offers a complete range of services including web hosting, blogs and podcasts, domain registering, solutions for outsourcing of e-mails electronic commerce, voice VOIP (virtual PABX), audio infrastructure for streaming of and video, games on-line and forums for developers In 2006, LOCAWEB inaugurated its own DATA CENTRE over 500 sq. meters and with a capacity to house up to 4000 servers. LOCAWEB IDC also offers dedicated servers, colocation and “safe” rooms. Today LOCAWEB has more than 1,000 customers for these specialized services. LOCAWEB Telecom, launched in September of 2006, already offers more than 550 extensions for VOIP

Business need:

This major co-location (internet, data, telecom) facility provider required a cost effective and user-friendly solution to monitor their infrastructure equipment and critical parameters 24×7 for their data center. They are expanding and building a second data center facility and want to be certain to maintain high availability. The Janus solution provided a scalable solution that enables LOCAWEB to unite all environmental and infrastructure equipment into one easily managed proactive system accessible from anywhere at anytime. 

Daily reports to key personnel help them keep track of all pending issues and gives them the ability to manage and control their business proactively. Weekly and monthly reports also available.

Out of Band GMS redundant communications links guarantees that they will maintain control 24×7 even if their internal links are down. Janus Technology proactive monitoring system improves the management by reducing both risks and costs and improving significantly productivity.
